Abstract

The article reveals the results of two studies conducted to verify the psychometric characteristics
of the D.A. Questionnaire, a scale we have built after the model of accentuated traits of the
personality, proposed by Karl Leonhard (1972). The first study focuses on the concurrent
validity, by analyzing the correlations between the factors of the envisaged questionnaire, namely
D.A. (Accentuated Dimensions, version D.A. 3.07), and the factors of the P.A. test (Accentuated
Personalities), the Romanian version, which has been translated and adapted by I. M. Nestor in
1975, from the original German questionnaire elaborated by H. Schmieschek. The two tools were
administered on a sample of 752 subjects. The second study analyses the internal consistence
and test-retest reliability of the two tests, D.A. 3.07 and P.A., after a year (N=431 subjects). The
results show satisfactory internal consistence coefficients and also test-retest stability for the D.A.
3.07 (Constantin, Hojbotă, Niculescu, Iarcuczewicz & Amariei, 2008), but unsatisfactory ones for
the P.A. questionnaire (H. Schmieschek, 1970). Finally, the authors describe the psychometric
characteristics of the D.A. 307 questionnaire, and argue its utility in exploring the personality in
professional context.
